Key concepts & fields
| Concept | What to know |
|---|---|
| Users and invitations | Manage access to the organization's workspace. |
| Roles and permissions | Define which actions people may take; an employee's job title is not a permission assignment. |
| Organization structure | Departments and locations used to organize the workspace. |
| Modules & features | Controls for the workflows your organization enables. |
| Audit log / sensitive access | Review recorded administrative activity. Some private employee and compensation views have additional controls, including PIN verification. |
Troubleshooting
A user can open a module but cannot act
Check the specific action permission and record scope, not just module visibility.
A role change does not expose a module
Check both assigned permissions and whether the module is enabled for the organization.
