Time Tracking & Timesheets
Log, submit, and review time
Use Day, Week, or Month views and review time for a custom period.
Before you begin
Make sure the project or activity is available to you. Your organization may require a task and a description for the activity you select.
Log, submit, and review time
Open Timesheets and choose Day, Week, or Month. On mobile, use the view dropdown.
Use the plus button or Add Line to choose the work, date, duration, and billable status. You can also use a timer.
Review your entries and submit the available drafts for approval.
Reviewers use Team review; the overview and reports show totals for the selected period. Use one range picker for a custom start and end date.
Key concepts & fields
| Concept | What to know |
|---|---|
| Project or activity | The work your time belongs to. Select the work first, then an available activity and any required task. |
| Duration | Time spent on the work. A zero-hour entry can be saved and completed later in the grid; it is not completed time. |
| Billable | Whether the entry is chargeable. Check the project and activity policy before saving. |
| Draft and submission | Saving an entry and submitting it for review are separate actions. Review the entries before submitting. |
| Calendar navigation | Day, Week, and Month change the timesheet view. Calendar arrows step between months; month and year selectors jump to another period. |
Troubleshooting
Save is unavailable
Choose a project or activity and an activity entry, then fill any required task and description. Check the policy message shown in the dialog.
An existing project entry cannot be edited
Project time tracking may have been disabled. Existing entries can remain visible even when new project logging is unavailable.
Totals look incomplete
Check the selected period, entry status, and filters. Saving a zero-hour row does not add hours to totals.
